The artwork ‘Gaia’ (meaning the personification of the earth) features accurate and detailed NASA imagery of the earth and will hang majestically in Liverpool Cathedral.
The installation, by renowned British artist Luke Jerram, will be complemented with a sound composition created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award-winning composer Dan Jones.
You can see the artwork, which is part of the River Festival 2019, for free at Liverpool Cathedral from Saturday 25 May - Sunday 23 June. Take a look through the timetable to plan your visit as viewing times will vary while Gaia is in place.
To celebrate the arrival of the Earth at Liverpool Cathedral, we have a collection of Earth inspired books and gifts. Take a look inside Liverpool Cathedral shop during your visit or shop online here!
