Noble Women - Windows in the Lady Chapel
The oldest part of Liverpool Cathedral, the Lady Chapel, has been described as a ''hidden gem'' and is revered for its beauty and serenity. It is also home to one of the most impressive and inspirational features of the Cathedral, the stained glass Noble Women windows.
Published to commemorate the centenary of the Lady Chapel in June 2010, this full colour, 31 page guide book features a detailed account of the women commemorated in the windows as women from varying backgrounds and professions, respected nationally and locally for their significant contributions to society. These windows have also been recognised as making a clear historical and social statement about women's rights and empowerment.
